Agility in HR
Listen to a panel discussion where industry experts will explore Agility in HR, exchanging insights, best practices, and innovative ideas. We'll be exploring key questions such as:
-
We see a significant move towards the utilisation of contingent workers, ecosystem partners and digital workers – over and above full-time employees. How do you see the People function changing as a result of this?
-
In the agile and lean worlds, we see more focus on teams and teams-of-teams – how will this impact traditional policies on things such as reward, performance, organisation design, etc.
-
Jobs have changed significantly recently – and are planned to change even more – how should organisations plan to fulfil their work delivery needs into the future?

Discover the pivotal role of internal alignment in enabling this shift, illustrating the indispensable connection between digital innovation and organisational adaptation.
KFC UK&I
KFC is a global chicken restaurant brand with a rich, decades-long history of success and innovation. It all started with one cook, Colonel Harland Sanders, who created a finger lickin’ good recipe more than 75 years ago—a list of 11 secret herbs and spices scratched out on the back of his kitchen door. Today, we still follow his formula for success, with real cooks breading and freshly preparing our delicious chicken by hand in more than 27,000 restaurants in over 145 countries and territories around the world.
Colonel Sanders was a born innovator and founded KFC on values like hard work, hospitality and generosity that still live large in the KFC brand today. We believe in making chicken the right way, by using quality ingredients and freshly preparing them by hand every day. We also proudly welcome everyone to enjoy a seat at our table. From our more than 800,000 Team Members to our guests around the world, KFC treats everyone with generosity and like family.
We are grounded in our heritage but looking forward to the future. KFC is always evolving to make it easier for our guests to enjoy our chicken. We do this through digital innovation and building new restaurants with our valued franchise partners. Every six hours, a new KFC restaurant opens somewhere in the world. As we grow, KFC is committed to doing so responsibly through commitments like our 2025 global plastic packaging goal, the realization of our 2018 commitment to stop purchasing chicken raised with antibiotics important to human medicine in the US and the KFC Harvest program, which to date has donated over 80 million pounds of food to our local communities around the world.
From KFC’s world-famous Original Recipe to our new signature flavours and formats, we are about making the most craveable, Colonel-inspired chicken in the world, the right way. If it’s not finger lickin’ good, it’s not us. And with the help of incredible franchise partners around the world, we’ll continue to be one of the fastest growing retail brands globally, both in emerging and developed markets alike."

Agility in Finance, Procurement & Contracts
In the mist of pandemic, taking up the challenge to set up a Procurement function in organization & today in front of you all representing an award-winning team. It feels good, emotional, and “Yes” still feels like Day 1. In the past 3 years, developing Procurement function and proving that we can offer much more to organization than Cost savings. We have not only introduced transparency, integrity, supplier consolidation, data analytics but also induced automation, supplier diversity, a sustainable supply chain and contributed in the Purpose of our Organization. As they say, sky is the limit. Now, we are guiding other regions in our company how to build, run & transform a Strategy & Procurement Function.
|
Sunlife India
The SUNLIFE India procurement function is integral to sunlife business . It is responsible for the coordination and management of all activities related to the acquisition of goods and services.
The overall Goals of strategic Procurement is to achieve large and sustainable cost reductions, long-term supply stability, minimization of supplier risk, Improve quality. and reduce cost.
We, at SUNLIFE India Procurement, have embarked on an agile transformation journey, rethinking how we can create value by embracing more flexible methods of working and developing a delivery model that is more sensitive to change and fast-paced situations. Sunlife Procurement has classified its present activities and processes to determine which areas require greater efficiency and which might benefit from greater agility.
It should then provide teams with the skills and culture that promotes speed, innovation, and chances for continual development. Value creation will be enabled by the transformation of the delivery model, which will create new opportunities and strengthen the capacities to respond quickly to exogenous and endogenous changes.
The challenge that emerges is to identify all the activities that Procurement function currently performs and assess the current level of maturity and nature of the activity (e.g., strategic vs. transactional, efficiency vs. agility). This determines where higher efficiency and reduced effort are required, and where agile, progressive, and iterative development can create and add value.

“I support individuals and organisations to succeed in a dynamic market by helping them to develop situational awareness and ways of working that are contextual to their needs.
I advise and guide individuals and organisations to gain a new set of competencies so they can continuously re-optimise to an ever-changing business landscape. I co-develop change to remove organisational debt to create a more balanced focus for continuous improvement and innovation. In order to achieve this, as a Business Agility Consultant and Agile Coach, my role is to support business transformation programmes and develop new ways of working across departments. I teach departments, and coach & mentor individuals.
My approach is complemented by agile and lean ways of working. Such approaches help ensure organisations, teams and individuals are value-led. They ensure an organisation is orientated to deliver value to its customers and stakeholders at a sustainable pace. Only with these mindsets can organisations shift from being reactionary to market forces to one in which they gain an edge to survive and excel in their field.”

Networking
This is a chance to meet fellow-delegates, to mix with like minds, to get to know each other and to learn from others.
Responding to feedback from the 2023 Agile Business Awards Conference, we’ve expanded the opportunities for networking in this virtual setting!
This is one of four networking sessions, where you’ll be able to join a breakout room to chat informally about topics such as Culture, Leadership, Governance, Strategy, Customer, People or the wider Ecosystem around us and our organisations. You’ll have freedom to move around between these groups and find the conversation you value the most.
Additionally, we’ll have all breakout rooms open during the Break, so if you spot someone you’d like to connect with, then go ahead and direct message them in Zoom and arrange a meeting in one of breakout rooms.
Please note that all timings are British Summer Time (BST), and are currently subject to change.
