The Framework for Business Agility

Our framework is a complete guide to building organizations that adapt, learn and deliver in the real world. It covers strategy, people, leadership, culture, governance and operations. Not just IT. Not just process. The whole picture.

The Framework for Business Agility developed by Agile Business Consortium

Pioneers of agile thinking since 1994

Our story started with the founding of the DSDM Consortium and continued through our role as signatories of the Agile Manifesto. Three decades on, our purpose remains the same: helping people and organizations work in more adaptable, flexible and resilient ways.

Founded as the DSDM Consortium

Created to jointly develop a public domain project management method. We launched the DSDM framework, emphasizing quality and timely delivery.

1994

Signatory to the Agile Manifesto for Software Development

The DSDM Consortium is a Co-signatory with 16 other organizations of the Agile Manifesto for Software Development – and the only one not based in the US.

2001

Re-positioning as the Agile Business Consortium

By 2016 it was becoming apparent that agile approaches were needed across the board, not just in IT and software development, so the Board of the Consortium made a significant strategic move to broaden its scope.

2016

AgilePM® version 3 launched

The Consortium’s AgilePM® version 3 places greater emphasis on value-driven delivery, adaptability and alignment with contemporary agile and hybrid ways of working, reflecting how projects are delivered today.
