Simplify@Scale at Rabobank: Leadership enables aligned autonomy

Rabobank’s Simplify@Scale journey began in 2018 and has grown into a scalable operating model, visualized by the ‘House of S@S’ – five pillars built on a foundation of culture and behavior.

Whilst governance ensure consistency, leadership is organized in triangles representing architecture, tech, and business. Strategy is executed via one prioritized backlog, supported by 15.000 people across 4 domains, 27 Tribes, and 1.200+ squads.

After reviewing an incredible selection of case study submissions, our 2025 Agile Business Conference Awards panel selected the most outstanding entries that showcase innovation, impact, and excellence. Rabobank was one of the awarded organisations invited to share their stories of excellence at the Agile Business Conference 2025.
