An ex- engineer,  Sophie had since led recruitment projects with Ford, General Motors and IBM, before shifting focus to setting up HR practice in startups. Her focus since then was on reinventing the importance of the People function within a conservative industry like financial services and she is establishing a blueprint for the future working culture. As employee happiness is HR’s success factor, and as a mental health first aider, she created a support system to combat depression and anxiety specifically affecting rapid growth businesses. From there and only 4 years in Fintech, she became a recognized figurehead in the UK and European market as the Culture Guardian or Diversity Champion in the technology space. She was nominated for 4 Rising Stars in Women in Tech in the UK both 2018 & 2019.
