The UK Government’s Digital Service Standard expects that digital services be delivered using Agile approaches. But to get the full benefits, Agile skills must extend beyond delivery teams.
In particular, leadership and management practice needs to develop more of the flexibility and decision-making speed central to Agile service development.
Existing Agile methods and training are heavily focused on the needs of IT developers, so don’t do enough to meet the broader demands of the GOV.UK Service Manual.
