Bio - Mirko Kleiner

I'm the thought Leader in Lean-Agile Procurement®, CIPS Award Winner 2018, international Speaker, Author, President of LAP Alliance® - The non-profit organization to make complex Sourcing simple, co-founder of flowdays - The Agile Cooperative in Germany & Switzerland, Agile Enterprise Coach, Certified Scrum@Scale Trainer®.

My guiding principles in life are "BE the change you WISH to see in the world" and "WHAT IF...?". Early in my life I came into contact with different cultures, such as those of India and Russia. This was the best thing that could have happened to me and it changed me for the good, both as person and as an entrepreneur.

I started out as a manager involved in developing youngculture® into an international software sourcing provider with 200+ employees in six countries. In learning to scale Agile in 2006 we made all the mistakes you could possibly imagine. But by meeting these challenges we increased productivity by 200+% and customer and employee satisfaction likewise. As a former leader of this and other large E-commerce programs I have worked at the coalface and know the challenges of agile teams, scrum masters, product owners and stakeholders at first hand.

Today in everything I do I'm looking to apply an integral, co-creative approach that will increase business value significantly, by 100+%. As an Agile Enterprise coach, I enjoy collaborating with people from all levels, from all industries, and from companies of all sizes. By preference I start at the C-level, as the best way to achieve the largest sustainable business impact. "Allow me to question your STATUS QUO, or we'll BOTH be wasting our time."

I am active globally as entrepreneur and founder of WAI.O.BLUE, flowdays and LAP Alliance. As a certified trainer I give master classes in Lean-Agile Procurement® and Scrum at Scale®. I have been prominent in "The procurement magazine", received a CIPS Award in 2018, and have been a speaker at international Agile and Procurement conferences in New York, Moscow, London, Berlin, Istanbul, Zurich, and others. I am proud to have had the honour of collaborating in one talk with Dean Leffingwell, creator of SAFe.

I love to lecture at the EIPM, support the Business Agility Institute NY and advise the CIPS Switzerland Committee & ICAgile Finance Track.

I am currently working on such topics as De-Scaled Agile, Adaptive Partner Ecosystems, and the question "WHAT IF we create our own money?".

Bio - David Kershaw

David Kershaw is a seasoned procurement delivery specialist and Co-Founder of Curshaw - a newly formed consultancy helping organisations transform the way they provide commercial services so that:

  • the needs of service users are met from procurement, right through to contract expiry and re-procurement using agile ways of working
  • the organisation makes better-informed and efficient commercial decisions.

A former UK civil servant, David has advised and led some of the most complex procurement activities of recent times. Known for his pragmatism, David is an advocate of using agile principles to deliver outcomes. Before founding Curshaw, David delivered procurement within digital, IT, rail, marketing and communications and the emerging ‘Brexit’ category.

Focusing on user needs David ensures procurement-related barriers are lowered, paperwork is reduced and all activities are open, fair and transparent. A founding member of the Digital Marketplace, a member of CIPS Congress and an active 'pest' of the Agile Business Consortium, David works relentlessly to make procurement better and more accessible.

His firm specialises in:

  • PFI expiry
  • Procurement of Digital services
  • Commercial Transformation by (1) making Commercial functions better at doing what they do and (2) Leading and delivering major commercial change outside of PFI and Digital.

He heads the Digital Procurement Practice and helps organisations:

  • understand the industry and engage with the market of digital suppliers
  • procure digital services (for example, a team to run a discovery)
  • manage digital service contracts
  • build in-house capabilities so they can procure their own digital services going forwards
  • run commercial discories and the applications of agile ways of working within procurement
