Welcoming John Williams to the Consortium

By Abi Walker | 18 October 2018

We have recently welcomed our new CEO, John Williams, to the Agile Business consortium.

John has an extensive background in the public, private and third sectors, including stockbroking, inward investment promotion, international business, banking and higher education. He has lived or worked in the Far East, Middle East, North America and Europe as well as the UK, and has owned companies in the UK and Hong Kong.

He is also a Director of the Transformation Trust, a charity supporting disadvantaged youth in the UK, and has worked with the Probation Service, HRH The Prince of Wales’ Business Trust, the Cabinet Office, and has work-shadowed a member of the Royal family.

He said of his new role, “I am privileged to have been appointed Chief Executive of the Agile Business Consortium. The Consortium is the creator of the AgilePM handbook, the source for AgilePM®, the world’s leading certification in agile project management, along with other professional Agile qualifications. We also sponsor the Agile Research Network, and organise the Agile Business Conference, the longest-running Agile conference in the world”.

“The future of business will see myriad changes, and the adaptive qualities demanded from individuals and organisations will need to reflect that variety. Having an agile mindset will become a prerequisite for every kind of success - personal and professional. At the Consortium, our mission is to see business agility enabled everywhere, so that individuals and organisations capture every opportunity to fulfil their ambitions. This is an exciting agenda, and I am proud to have been appointed CEO at such a pivotal moment in the development of the global agile community.”
