#AgileAdvent - Week 1
By Abi Walker | 7 December 2018
Members and friends of the Consortium have come together in the Christmas spirit to share 24 agility tips which are being published daily on Twitter, Linkedin, and Facebook, using the hashtag #AgileAdvent.
Just like a chocolate advent calendar, we will offering a piece of our Agile Advent calendar every day in the lead up to Christmas!
Follow us on social media, and share your own Agile tips with us, using the hashtag #AgileAdvent. You might even see yours appearing at a later date.
Our first tip is by our International Marketing & Relationships Manager, Tamsin Fox-Davies. MoSCoW is a valuable agile tool, and it can even come in useful at Christmas!
Tuesday's agile tip is given by Richard Pharro, CEO of APMG International, an award-winning examination institute, and the certification body for AgilePM and many of our other qualifications. Take Richard's advice, and think agile when doing your last minute Christmas shopping.
Wednesday's tip is by our International and Membership Coordinator, Rachel Mclinn. But why is it so important to motivate your team? Well, not only does it make for a happier workplace, but it increases productivity and enables the team to achieve much higher levels of quality. Read more about People, Teams and Interactions in section 14 of The DSDM Agile Project Framework, which can be viewed online.
Thursday's agile tip was from Vic Page, Founding Partner of Actineo Consulting LLP, who are part of the Consortium partner programme. It's true - having a face-to-face conversation is one of the most effective methods of conveying information within a team.
To end the first week of our #AgileAdvent calandar, the team at Radtac shared this tip about agile leaders. Agile Leadership is essential if an organisation is to effect true Agile business change. Our white paper on Culture and Leadership discusses how the concepts of Communication, Commitment and Collaboration are key.
If you have any agile tips, please be sure to share them with us! Comment below or email them directly to email@example.com.
